Wrestling biopics are the talk of Hollywood right now, with A24’s recent Iron Claw movie about the tragic Von Erichs winning critical acclaim since its US release in December 2023.

The Von Erichs aren’t the only major wrestling family touched by equal parts tragedy and history, with the story of the legendary Hart family one that would make for interesting viewing.

Hart family member Natalya recently teased on Instagram that a Hart movie could be in the works, and a report from Fightful Select has done some digging on Natalya’s post.

Natalya tagged Rory Culkin and Yale Productions in her initial post, with Rory - brother of Kieran and Macauley - a noted wrestling fan like his brothers. Yale Productions are believed to have held an interest in bringing the Hart’s story to the silver screen, with heavy discussions about such a movie having taken place. Whilst plans have been discussed for ‘some time’, as well as potential casting options, this does not mean that a script has been completed, nor if a movie has officially been greenlit.

Helmed by patriarch Stu Hart in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, the Hart family created and promoted Stampede Wrestling in Calgary, with many of Stu’s sons getting into the business, most notably the legendary Bret and Owen Hart.
