Heath Slater Sustains Injury At Bound For Glory

During the Call Your Shot Gauntlet...

Heath Slater sustained an injury during the 20-person Call Your Shot gauntlet at Saturday night's Bound For Glory pay-per-view, shortly after entering into the match.

Heath had just delivered a neckbreaker to Brian Myers upon entering the fray, before delivering knee strikes to the members of Reno Scum. Immediately after, Heath clearly wasn't steady on his feet, though he continued to work while in his compromised state.

At one point during the match, Heath went down by the apron and was checked over by the ringside officials. Eventually, he was eliminated by Sami Callihan, after which officials continued to tend to him.

A report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider states that while it appeared to be a knee injury at first, the belief is that it may be groin or lower abdominal tear.

Heath later tweeted from a hospital bed, "This sucks.... I’m sorry to everyone. But big thanks to @Rhyno313 @IMPACTWRESTLING #BFG2020"

Teammate Rhino went on to win the gauntlet, last eliminating Callihan. Per the story, Rhino's victory enables Heath to sign full-time with Impact.
