A video game enthusiast recently discovered a feature that was hidden in 1998's WCW/nWo Revenge, 25 years after the Nintendo 64 game's release.

The creator of the AKI: Did You Know series (who goes by Melonbread on X) uncovered the running grapple feature by hacking wrestler's parameters in-game.

"After all these years…we discover that they'd hidden Running Grapples in WCW/nWo Revenge (including a Diamond Cutter from @RealDDP)…but I should say… you need to hack the wrestler's Parameters so that the game 'knows' that they have a running grapple. That's how they hid them: they set everyone's Parameters in such a way that no-one can perform them," he explained in a series of tweets.

The post caught the attention of Diamond Dallas Page, with the Hall of Famer writing:

"So my buddy @Melonbread1979 broke open the code for WCW nWo Revenge and found the rumored fourth Diamond Cutter. A running attack. So wild to see…hidden since 1998. Pretty dope to find something after 25 years. Had to share".

It was previously thought that the running grapples feature wasn't implemented in AKI games until Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 and WWF No Mercy. Evidently, AKI were experimenting with it beforehand.
