Hiroshi Tanahashi Planning To Main Event AEW All In

Hiroshi Tanahashi wants to main event AEW All In

Hiroshi Tanahashi is set to receive his second shot at the AEW World Championship on June 25 when he faces champ MJF at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II. However, Tanahashi has one eye on the future, with New Japan’s ‘Ace’ wanting to headline AEW’s upcoming All In show in London’s Wembley Stadium in August.

Speaking with Tokyo Sports, Tanahashi laid out his goals for Summer 2023:

“My Wembley debut is coming soon. I will prove that I am the first Japanese to win a title match and main event at Wembley in 100 years. I haven’t left my name in the history books yet, so I will start from here. Winning the belt in the U.S., winning the G1, and the main event at Wembley. It’s all set up nicely. It’s Mr. Blueprint,” Tanahashi said (via Google Translate).

Tanahashi clashed with Jon Moxley for the Interim AEW World Championship at Forbidden Door I in June 2022, with Moxley coming out on top before winning the lineal AEW World Championship from CM Punk in August 2022.
