Hollyhood Haley J Still Aiming To Reach WWE Despite Recent Tryout Issues

Hollyhood Haley J on WWE

One of the stars of the new Netflix series, 'Wrestlers', Hollyhood Haley J is still aiming to reach WWE despite recent issues over her attending a tryout.

It emerged in September the OVW Women's Champion was set to report to the WWE Performance Center for a tryout but she was pulled from the event "due to reasons related to medical paperwork." WWE remain hopeful about bringing in Hollywood Haley J for a future tryout.

Appearing on the Ringside Podcast, Haley J addressed how 'Wrestlers' has changed her life before she commented on her nixed tryout.

"Well, if you haven't seen my social media, it's been up there. I'm getting a bunch of followers. Getting a bunch of bookings. Some out-of-the-country bookings, that's cool. A lot of people ordering merch. Almost sold out of all of my merch. Got me a little tryout, it didn't fall through, that will come back around. It got me new friends," Haley J stated.

Her aim remains to reach WWE. She added: "The ultimate goal is obviously WWE. I'm trying to wrestle at WrestleMania, become champ, top dog. Anywhere I go, I make my way to the top. I just have to get there. That's the goal. Be champ, wrestle at WrestleMania, and then I can retire."

Hollyhood Haley J has been with OVW since 2020. She has also performed for WOW - Women of Wrestling and All Elite Wrestling. This includes a house show match earlier this year where Haley J lost to Ruby Soho at an AEW House Rules event in Troy, Ohio.

Tom Campbell recently spoke to OVW's Al Snow about 'Wrestlers' and his future plans for the promotion.
