Hulk Hogan's official cause of death has been revealed.

Hogan - real name Terry Bollea - passed away from acute myocardial infarction, which is commonly known as a heart attack, when the supply of blood to the heart is suddenly blocked, documents obtained by Page Six from the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center have revealed.

The documents also noted that Hogan had a history of an irregular and often rapid heart rate, as well as a history of chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, a rare type of cancer that affects white blood cells called lymphocytes.

The manner of Hogan's death was ruled natural. A request for cremation approval has been made to the medical examiner's office, although it is unknown if Hogan will be cremated.

Hulk Hogan passed away on Thursday, July 24 at the age of 71. Hogan's health had declined since undergoing neck surgery in May, and reports have noted he took a turn for the worse in the week leading up to his passing, losing the ability to speak.

WWE have paid tribute to Hulk Hogan on several occasions since his passing across Raw, SmackDown, and NXT. Much of the pro wrestling world also paid tribute to Terry Bollea, although some fans celebrated Hogan's death due to his past racist comments.
