IC Title Match, Andre The Giant Battle Royal Announced For 4/1 WWE SmackDown

The last stop before WrestleMania

Two matches have been announced for this Friday's edition of WWE SmackDown. Like last year's go-home SmackDown prior to WrestleMania, the Andre the Giant Memorial battle royal is one of the matches included on the card.

Participants depicted in the battle royal match graphic include Commander Azeez, The Viking Raiders, Apollo Crews, Damian Priest, Finn Balor, Robert Roode, Jinder Mahal, R-Truth, Shanky, Reggie, Drew Gulak, Akira Tozawa, Madcap Moss, Cedric Alexander, Shelton Benjamin, and Mansoor.

The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal has been held every year since 2014, save for 2020. Prior winners include Cesaro, Big Show, Baron Corbin, Mojo Rawley, Matt Hardy, Braun Strowman, and Jey Uso.

In addition, the Intercontinental title will be on the line this Friday, as Ricochet defends the title in a triple threat against Los Lotharios teammates Humberto and Angel.

On the March 25 SmackDown, Angel defeated Ricochet in a non-title match, due to interference from Humberto. Ricochet then challenged Humberto to a match, which he lost via countout after Angel prevented him from re-entering the ring at one point.
