IMPACT Title Changes Hands At Indy Event

New champion in IMPACT Wrestling

One of IMPACT Wrestling's championships changed hands over the weekend at an independent wrestling event.

Matt Cardona and Rich Swann were in action at Saturday's Vegas Vacation show from Sami Callihan's Wrestling REVOLVER promotion and the two IMPACT talents went one-on-one for the IMPACT Digitial Media Championship.

Both men fought back and forth in their contest and Swann picked up the surprise win to capture the Digital Media Title. This doesn't mean Swann has championship gold around his waist, though, as Cardona refused to accept his loss and he ran to the back while hugging the belt tightly, ensuring it remained in his possession.

IMPACT introduced the Digital Media Title last year ahead of Bound For Glory and the inaugural champion was crowned on the pay-per-view's pre-show, with Jordynne Grace winning a Six-Way for the belt. She dropped the gold to Matt Cardona on the February 3 episode of IMPACT and Alwayz Ready's reign lasted 114 days before his loss to Rich Swann.

For Swann, this is his first title in IMPACT since he lost the IMPACT World Championship to Kenny Omega back at Rebellion in May 2021.
