IMPACT Wrestling Results - February 23 2021: Sacrifice Main-Event Confirmed

A tables match and a World Heavyweight Championship defence...

The build to IMPACT Sacrifice has begun, with Tuesday's IMPACT Wrestling show setting two matches on the pay-per-view card.

Prior to the show, two matches were confirmed, with Jake Something and Deaner clashing in a Tables match, while Trey Miguel, Willie Mack and Josh Alexander take on Chris Bey, Ace Austin and Black Taurus.

IMPACT kicked off with the aforementioned Tables match, which Jake Something won courtesy of a powerslam through a ringside table. After the match, Moose attacked the winner, declaring he wants an IMPACT World Heavyweight Championship match. Scott D'Amore comes out, makes the TNA World Heavyweight Championship that Moose is carrying around a legitimate title again, and declares he will defend it against Jake Something in the show's main-event.

The six-man tag team match followed, which was won by Chris Bey, Ace Austin and Black Taurus, with Bey hitting Mack with the Finesse Finisher to pick up the victory. Afterwards, Trey Miguel has a physical confrontation with Sami Callihan backstage.

The weekly paid-for AEW advertisement is then aired, featuring Tony Khan, Tony Schiavone, and a host of AEW heels, who all promote their upcoming matches.

The third match of the evening puts IMPACT World Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers up against XXL. The title holders take the win courtesy of the Magic Killer. Karl Anderson then has a backstage segment with FinJuice, during which David Finlay and Juice Robinson declare themselves the best tag team in professional wrestling.

Eddie Edwards was meant to face Brian Myers, but Myers declared before the match that he had been advised not to compete, with Hernandez chosen as his replacement. Edwards is able to dispatch of his spontaneous opponent, however, hitting the Boston Knee Parry for the 'W'. Myers and Edwards is announced for next week by Scott D'Amore, with Matt Cardona as the special guest referee.

The number one contenders for the IMPACT Knockouts Tag Team titles were determined as Jordynne Grace and Jazz defeated Kimber Lee and Susan. Grace got the win for her team by pinning Susan, after hitting her finisher. After the match, Grace and Jazz find ODB laid out backstage.

The main event between Moose and Jake Something was up next. A physical match between the two for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, Jake came close to shocking the world when he got a near fall with a pop-up sit-out powerbomb. Moose would ultimately retain his title with a huge spear.

As Moose tried to attack Jake Something after their match, IMPACT World Heavyweight Champion Rich Swann made the save, going after Moose. Executive D'Amore then came out and made a match between the two for the IMPACT World title in the Sacrifice main-event.
