IMPACT Wrestling Sign Top Independent Star To Long-Term Contract

IMPACT Wrestling have announced the signing of independent star Kylie Rae to a long-term contract.

Rae appeared on this week's IMPACT, defeating Cassandra Golden, and her signing was announced on the same show. Rae

Rae made her pro-wrestling debut in 2016, and has been a staple of the North American independent scene in recent years. She received a WWE tryout in 2018, but most will be familiar with her appearances in AEW.

She wrestled at the promotion's first ever show - Double or Nothing - taking part in a four-way match alongside Dr. Britt Baker, Nyla Rose, and Awesome Kong. She was later advertised for a match against Leva Bates at Fyter Fest, but was replaced before the event. Later, Tony Khan announced that Rae and AEW had parted ways.

This announcement sparked a cloud of controversy, with both Khan and Rae stressing that there was no ill-feeling between the parties, and that Rae's departure was her own decision.

Rae appeared in IMPACT as a surprise entrant in the 2019 Bound for Glory 'Call Your Shot' gauntlet match, before pledging her future to the company this week.
