An independent wrestling promoter accused No Way Jose of stealing his money in an issue that has since been resolved.
The former WWE star was scheduled to work Winnipeg-based Primos Wrestling's show on Friday, August 19 but Primos Wrestling owner Graeme Keam noted on Facebook that No Way Jose did not turn up for the show and stole his money.
The issues between No Way Jose and Primos Wrestling started after Jose said he was going to be late for the show due to travel issues out of Seattle, Washington. The promotion initially changed the flight for Jose which didn't work out and any issues appeared to have been resolved after Jose agreed to fly to North Dakota. Keam's wife would have then driven to the United States to pick him up.
Jose had not turned up once the show reached its halfway point, however, and Keam received an email from Delta Airlines that revealed the flight for Jose had been changed from North Dakota to Orlando, Florida. Jose then travelled to Orlando and used the promoter's seat credit that was said to be worth over $1000.
In an update, the promotion noted No Way Jose returned their money on Monday.
While it was not stated by Keam, the former WWE talent was in action at Sunday's AEW Dark taping in Orlando. Jose teamed with Vary Morales in a loss to The Iron Savages (FKA Bear Country) at the taping from Universal Studios.
