Red Velvet is out of action with injury, with Ring of Honor announcing plans to crown an Interim ROH Women’s TV Champion during her absence.

Velvet has been Women’s TV Champion since July 2024, but during the pre-AEW All In media call, ROH President Tony Khan noted that Velvet was out of action and that plans for an interim champion to be crowned would be revealed soon.

All Elite Wrestling - ROH’s sister company - has crowned several interim champions in the past to mixed reviews, most notably the AEW World Championship. Since the soft split of the lineal and interim AEW World Championships with Jon Moxley and CM Punk in 2023, AEW have largely abandoned the practice.

Several other injuries have affected ROH’s plans for the upcoming Supercard of Honor XVIII show on July 11, with Khan noting that an injury to Jamie Hayter has seen Queen Aminata ‘called up’ to AEW, changing future ROH women’s division plans. A planned tournament to crown the first-ever ROH Women’s Pure Champion has also been delayed.

Updated card; ROH Supercard of Honor XVIII, July 11, 2025:

  • Bandido (c) vs. Konosuke Takeshita - ROH World Championship
  • Athena (c) vs. Thunder Rosa - ROH Women’s World Championship
  • Lee Moriarty (c) vs. Blue Panther - ROH Pure Championship
  • Sons of Texas (c) vs. The Infantry - ROH World Tag Team Championships
  • Nick Wayne (c) vs. Titan - ROH Television Championship
