Ivar To Receive WWE Singles Push

The Viking Raider will be going solo in the absence of Erik.

WWE star Ivar is due to receive a singles push, according to a new report.

With his Viking Raiders partner Erik set for a spell on the sidelines following surgery, Ivar will be going solo on Raw moving forward.

Writing in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that WWE are planning to push the 39-year-old as a singles player.

Ivar has had two singles matches on Raw since his partner went down with an injury, losing to Kofi Kingston (on September 15) and Xavier Woods (October 2).

Ivar has looked impressive in defeat and was booked to lay out both members of New Day after his loss to Woods. He is set to compete against Kingston in a 'Viking Rules' match on the October 9 edition Raw.

The nature of Erik's injury remains unknown, but commentator Wade Barrett did say that he would be absent for the 'foreseeable future'.

The Viking Raiders (FKA The War Raiders) have been signed to WWE since 2018 and are former NXT and Raw tag team champions.
