IYO SKY Wants KAIRI To Make WWE Return
IYO SKY wants to see KAIRI back in WWE
With the news that KAIRI is a free agent and hoping to work in the USA once more, there are some hopeful that the former NXT Women’s Champion will return to WWE.
One of the names looking forward to a potential Kairi Sane return is that of IYO SKY, with the Damage CTRL member simply saying “KAIRI” when asked by WrestlingNews.co who she wants to see return to a WWE ring.
KAIRI originally wrestled for WWE from 2017 to 2021, before returning to Japan to work primarily for old stomping grounds World Wonder Ring Stardom. As part of Stardom’s relationship with New Japan, KAIRI ended up becoming the first ever IWGP Women’s Champion, defeating Mayu Iwatani for the honour at Historic X-Over in November 2022, before dropping the belt to Mercedes Moné in February 2023.
During her initial run in WWE as Kairi Sane, KAIRI reigned as a one-time NXT Women’s Champion, and one-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion with Kabuki Warriors team-mate Asuka. KAIRI also won the 2017 Mae Young Classic.
