Jake Roberts is widely regarded as one of the finest talkers in pro wrestling history, expertly captivating audiences during the height of his in-ring career, and as a manager during his time in AEW.
Since joining AEW in 2019, Roberts has acted as the manager and mouthpiece for Lance Archer, and revealed on The Snake Pit podcast that there are others he reckons he could work well with in AEW:
“I think I’d have been great with them [The Lucha Brothers]. There’s other people too. Miro. I think I’d have been good with Miro,” said Roberts.
As for who he’d like to face from the current crop in a match, Roberts listed four names: “FTR, but I’d want them in singles matches. I’d have liked to have done something with Chris Jericho. I think we could have done some stuff,” continued Roberts. "I'd have liked to get with [Jake Hager]. I think I could have helped him a lot in the ring. I mean he's an animal, but if he'd just let me drive for a little while I think I could show him some shortcuts."
Roberts last wrestled in 2018, before joining AEW in 2019 in a managerial role, whilst also coaching talents backstage.
