Jake Roberts Undergoes Heart Ablation Surgery

Jake Roberts is recovering from heart ablation surgery, having gone under the knife on Tuesday, May 13.

The Snake's partner Cheryl Roberts announced he had undergone surgery and was preparing to be discharged from hospital, writing on Instagram:

"Jake is making outstanding progress and is prepared for discharge. We are so grateful for all the prayers and well wishes. Following a one-week recovery period, he will be ready to resume traveling and reconnect with his fans."

Heart ablation surgery is performed to treat irregular heartbeats, with heat or cold energy being used to create tiny scars in the heart and restore a regular heartbeat.

Roberts has suffered from numerous health issues in recent years, including being hospitalised earlier this year with pneumonia. Roberts remains signed to All Elite Wrestling and he is the on-screen manager of La Faccion Ingobernable, the faction consisting of RUSH, Dralistico, and The Beast Mortos.

While Roberts may not be on-screen in the near future, he continues to appear in WWE video games due to signing a WWE Legends deal before he joined All Elite Wrestling.
