Jaxson Ryker Becomes A Police Officer Following Pro Wrestling Retirement

Jaxson Ryker is now a police officer

A former WWE talent has a new job.

Taking to his Instagram account, Jaxson Ryker (real name Chad Lail) has revealed he is now a police officer and has joined the Iredell County Police Department in North Carolina.

Ryker wrote: "What an honor. Yesterday September 14 2023 I was sworn in at the Iredell County Sheriffs office. New chapter. New career. May I always wear this badge and uniform with pride."

Ryker recently retired from professional wrestling, leaving his boots in the ring following a match at the AML Wrestling Show on August 27. Ryker announced earlier this year that he planned to retire as he felt he had nothing left to prove and was dealing with injuries.

After serving in the United States Marine Corps and performing on the independent wrestling scene, Lail signed with TNA Wrestling in 2010 and he remained a part of the promotion until 2015. He then signed with WWE in 2017 and was a part of the Forgotten Sons with Wesley Blake and Steve Cutler.

Upon moving to the WWE main roster in 2020, the stable were soon pulled from TV following Ryker's tweets in support of Donald Trump in the wake of the George Floyd protests. The tweets were criticised by several of Ryker's colleagues and Dave Bautista.

Ryker would return to WWE and he would eventually be released by the company in November of 2021.
