JBL Thinks He Could Be A WWE World Champion In 2022
Could ‘The Wrestling God’ win the WWE World Championship? JBL certainly thinks so

Anything can happen in the WWE, but could JBL at 55 years old come out of retirement and win the WWE Title? Well, ‘The Wrestling God’ himself certainly thinks so.
JBL was a guest on WWE’s The Bump, where the former WWE Champion said the following about his prospects at holding the big one once more:
“They asked Bobby Charlton one time - the great soccer player from England - how would you do against the Iceland team when they were doing so well? He said, ‘Well, we’d probably win 3-2.’ They go, ‘Only 3-2?’ He goes, ‘we’re all 70 years old’,” JBL said. “That’s how I feel now. At 55, I could come right in, right now, if Baron weren’t here, and be world champion. But Baron’s here, so there’s no reason for me to because Baron’s gonna be world champion.”
As for Corbin, JBL explained why he chose to manage the former United States Champion:
“Hall of Famers and legends don’t come back to manage somebody that’s not gonna be a world champion. I came back for one reason and one reason only. It’s Baron Corbin. You talk about [Johnny] Gargano, you talk about Kevin Owens, you talk about AJ Styles. Terrific competitors. Some are great champions. They’re not Baron Corbin, and that is the difference,” said JBL.
