Jim Ross Taking Time Off From AEW For Cancer Treatment

Ross hopes to be back after Christmas

Legendary commentator Jim Ross will be taking time away from All Elite Wrestling to undergo treatment for skin cancer.

JR is set to undergo 22 radiation treatments from November 29 and he is hoping to return to the announce table on December 29 for the company's show in Jacksonville, Florida.

Ross tweeted on Thursday: "Due to my skin cancer care totaling 22 radiation treatments starting Monday, I will hopefully return to the announce desk on December 29 in Jacksonville. @TonyKhan supports me on this strategy which has been a blessing. My thanks for all your support."

AEW President then tweeted his support for Ross, writing: "JR, everyone here at @AEW wishes you the best. I think it's a great gameplan you've got, we look forward to your return to commentary, hopefully in your new hometown Jacksonville FL @dailysplace at New Year's Smash at the end of December! We want you to kick the cancer's ass, JR!"

JR confirmed in October that he had been diagnosed with skin cancer after undergoing a CT scan. The AEW commentator was previously diagnosed with skin cancer in 2016 and he underwent surgery in 2018.

Everyone at Cultaholic Wrestling wishes Good Ol' JR the very best with his treatment.
