John Cena Reveals He Once Soiled Himself During A Match
"The orange had turned into an unflattering Autumn brown."
In a recent interview with Sports Bible, John Cena revealed that soiling himself is the most embarrassing thing to ever happen to him during a wrestling match.
Let's not waste any time here and let the man himself explain the situation in full: “The most embarrassing thing is when I performed with food poisoning," said the 16-time World Champion.
"I happened to not be wearing my denim shorts, this was way back in the days of yore and believe it or not, I was wearing Halloween orange spandex trunks. At the end of the contest, the orange had turned into an unflattering Autumn brown. Another wrestling nightmare would be to have your music play and you’re not ready to go out, but I would much rather arrive late but dressed for the occasion than pooping yourself and vomiting during a performance.”
So excrement and vomit in the ring at the same time... it must have been one hell of a match.
Of course, it's funny to look back on the situation now, as horrendous as it must have been at the time for John - who was presumably performing as The Prototype when this most unfortunate of accidents occurred.
At least the leader of the Cenation can take solace in the knowledge that he wasn't the first to mess his tights during a match and probably won't be the last. CM Punk - during that shoot interview with Colt Cabana - spoke candidly about the time the medication WWE had placed him on caused him to vacate his bowels on an episode of SmackDown, while a similar fate has befallen the likes of Yokozuna and Tommy Dreamer.
But hey, at least this mishap didn't hold John back. He's since turned into an invisible man who has won a hell of a lot of things.
