Johnny Gargano Returns To WWE On Raw
Johnny Wrestling is back
Former NXT champion Johnny Gargano made an unannounced appearance on Monday's Raw in Toronto, marking his return to the organization.
Gargano spoke to the crowd, looked back upon his NXT run, and discussed his future in the wrestling business. He said he wanted to show his son that anything was possible, and that he was betting on himself by coming to Raw. Gargano then announced that he was officially back with WWE.
Theory then came out and confronted his former NXT mentor. He pointed out that while Gargano was away, Theory won the Money in the Bank briefcase, and that pretty much made him the veteran, and Gargano the rookie.
Theory then offered to let Gargano carry his briefcase for him. After more insulting remarks from Theory, Gargano laid him out with a superkick.
Gargano last wrestled on December 5 of last year, coming out on the losing end of a WarGames Match. His WWE contract expired shortly thereafter, and Gargano had been on hiatus since. He and wife Candice LeRae's son Quill was born in February.
