Jon Moxley Originally Set For Six-Week Vacation Following AEW All Out

Jon Moxley isn't happy about still being at work...

Jon Moxley was originally set to be on vacation for six weeks following the All Out pay-per-view, his friend Robert Anthony has revealed.

Moxley and Anthony's past goes back to their time in CZW and Anthony recently appeared in AEW at All Out as the former AEW World Champion's sparring partner. On the post-All Out edition of Dynamite, Moxley noted that he was supposed to be on vacation but had ultimately decided to stick around for the time being.

Speaking on the Tyrus and Timpf Podcast, Anthony revealed Moxley was supposed to be gone for six weeks and he is "not too happy" about having to scrap his plans.

"So he's doing good. Man, he's supposed to be on vacation, six weeks. We were gonna go fishing. Now he's back to work, he's not too happy about it but...I enjoyed his match at the pay-per-view but, he's p*ssed off and he's back at work and he cut a hell of a promo on Wednesday and we'll see where it goes, you know what I mean? It's just a lot of negatives in the positives over there I feel like," Anthony said.

Moxley was reportedly asked to remain on AEW TV for the time being after CM Punk, Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, and others were suspended by the promotion following a backstage fight after All Out. Punk also suffered a triceps injury at the pay-per-view in his main event match with Moxley and he was stripped of the title by AEW last week.

Moxley is currently involved in the Grand Slam Tournament of Champions for the vacant world championship. He will face Sammy Guevara in the semifinals on AEW Dynamite. Should Moxley win, he will take on the winner of Bryan Danielson vs. Chris Jericho at Dynamite Grand Slam on September 21.
