JONAH Clarifies IMPACT Wrestling Status

JONAH has not wrestled for IMPACT since the end of April

JONAH has clarified his status with IMPACT Wrestling, after conflicting reports emerged about his standing with the company.

After it was reported that JONAH was on a per-appearance deal with the company, the ‘Top Dog’ has not wrestled for IMPACT since losing a Monster’s Ball match to PCO on April 24. During a recent virtual signing with the Asylum Wrestling Store, JONAH said the following about his IMPACT deal:

“I liked working with IMPACT Wrestling a lot actually so, my time there at the moment is done but it’s sort of on a freeze. It’s not over. It’s just that I’m focusing more on New Japan Pro-Wrestling so I’ll be doing a lot more with them and their dates started clashing a little bit. But I really enjoyed my time in IMPACT Wrestling, particularly wrestling Josh Alexander. He was someone that I always wanted to wrestle and I was very happy I got to do it,” said JONAH.

JONAH’s situation echoes that of NJPW’s Jay White, with the Bullet Club leader recently departing IMPACT due to NJPW commitments.
