Jordan Devlin Forced To Leave WWE NXT UK Following Loss To Ilja Dragunov

What next for Jordan Devlin?

Jordan Devlin's time in NXT UK has come to an end.

The Irish Ace challenged Ilja Dragunov for the NXT UK Championship on the UK brand's 200th episode on Thursday in a Loser Leaves Town Match.

It initially appeared that Devlin had won the gold after he connected with the Devlin Side Suplex and the referee counted to three, only for the result to be overturned after it emerged Dragunov had put his foot on the bottom rope before the three count.

The match was then restarted and Dragunov picked up the win following a Torpedo Moscow.

Dragunov and Devlin had previously faced off for the gold in an Empty Arena Match earlier this year, which was also won by Dragunov.

If Thursday's loss means Devlin is NXT bound remains to be seen. Former NXT UK talents in Pretty Deadly and Nathan Frazer have made their way to the United States in recent months, while former NXT UK Champion Gunther (FKA WALTER) now competes on Friday Night SmackDown.

Devlin has previously spent time in NXT and he won the NXT Cruiserweight Championship in January 2020. He was unable to defend the gold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, though, and he lost a Cruiserweight Title Unification Ladder Match to Santos Escobar at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver in April 2021 after travel restrictions had been eased.
