He may be the BMF of the UFC, but Jorge Masvidal has unfinished business in AEW.
In the run-up to his UFC bout with Colby Covington on March 5, Masvidal sat down with Darren Paltrowitz, and said the following about a potential AEW return:
“Oh, most definitely [you can expect to see me back in AEW]. You know, those AEW guys don’t like me too much. They got a bone to pick with me and I got a bone to pick with them. As it is man, I got a couple wins on them.”
The American Top Team member made several appearances for AEW during ATT’s feud with The Inner Circle, Masvidal memorably sending Chris Jericho’s head into row Z with a flying knee.
Masvidal’s ATT team-mate Paige VanZant also has unfinished business in AEW, with ’12 Gauge’ appearing on Dynamite on February 2 to attack Brandi Rhodes, effectively writing Brandi off of AEW television before her departure alongside husband Cody Rhodes earlier this month.
