Juice Robinson Provides Update On His NJPW Status

Juice Robinson has a confusing relationship with NJPW

The Forbidden Door swung open once again as Bullet Club’s Juice Robinson made his AEW debut against AEW World Champion Jon Moxley on the September 28 edition of Dynamite.

Robinson’s status in NJPW has been the subject of some speculation, especially after he worked swathes of wrestling fans into thinking he was stepping away from New Japan earlier in 2022. Now, in an interview with Sports Illustrated, the former IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion has discussed his future with New Japan:

"I'm no longer representing New Japan, and I want that to be clear. I carried that New Japan flag for seven years. I've got no unfinished business there. I sang that song and I danced that dance, and we've gone our separate ways. That's in the rearview mirror," Juice said.

"I'm totally free right now. I'll fight whoever, wherever and whenever I want as long as it's the right match against the right opponent on the right night of the week. Dynamite is the hottest show, and I'm wrestling their champ on the hottest night of the week in wrestling. This is the biggest match of my career, and I'm ready for it."

Robinson has also wrestled for IMPACT Wrestling in recent years, winning the IMPACT World Tag Team Championships with former tag partner David Finlay in 2021. Juice signed a new deal with NJPW in May 2022.
