The WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony is fast approaching and will take place on April 2 at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. So far, the company has announced The nWo, Batista, The Bella Twins, John Bradshaw Layfield, and Davey Boy Smith will be part of this year's class.
The only rumoured name yet to be announced by WWE was Jushin "Thunder" Liger. This is no longer the case, however, as the company revealed on Twitter that Liger would be the next inductee into the Hall Of Fame.
Jushin Liger needs no introduction to professional wrestling fans and is considered one of the greatest junior heavyweights of all time. During his career which spanned four decades, he competed in a myriad of promotions including WCW, Ring Of Honor and Dragon Gate. Liger was most famous for his time in New Japan Pro Wrestling, however, where he enjoyed a record 11 reigns as IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion. The former NJPW star only appeared inside a WWE ring once as he was invited to wrestle at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn in 2015. He went on to face Tyler Breeze and defeated him after nine minutes with the Liger Bomb.
