Speculation around a possible WWE return for Killer Kross (FKA Karrion Kross) has been fuelled after the former WWE NXT Champion received a text message from Paul Heyman during a recent interview.
While speaking to Monopoly Events at the For the Love of Wrestling convention, the interviewer Jamal Niaz asked Kross about his recent MLW World Heavyweight Title win when the former WWE talent suddenly looked at his phone and went, "Oh."
The interviewer then joined Kross in looking at his phone and announced that it was Paul Heyman who had just sent Karrion Kross a text message. Kross did not reveal what the text message was about, as he simply said, "moving on," before he asked the interviewer to repeat the question.
Karrion Kross has been gone from WWE since his and Scarlett's contracts expired in August 2025. Kross has established himself as one of the top names on the indies since his exit and he won the MLW World Heavyweight Championship at Battle Riot VIII on January 29.
Speculation around Kross returning to WWE has been fuelled due to Paul Heyman's on-screen faction of The Vision being severely depleted following injuries to Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, which came months after Seth Rollins was kicked out of the stable due to his own injury issues in October 2025.
Kross revealed in August 2025 in the days after his WWE departure that he has had a relationship with Paul Heyman for "a very long time" and he considers the former ECW owner "a great source for advice and information" and "a friend."
Paul Heyman praised Kross on the Ariel Helwani Show following his WWE exit, something Kross admitted he was flattered by.
