Kazuchika Okada Yet To Decide Between WWE & AEW

Kazuchika Okada’s future still undecided as WWE and AEW circle

Kazuchika Okada has a big decision to make regarding his pro-wrestling future, with ‘The Rainmaker’ finding himself the most in-demand free agent after announcing his New Japan Pro-Wrestling exit.

Both WWE and All Elite Wrestling are understandably believed to be very interested in Okada, with both American wrestling powerhouses said to be ‘fighting hard’ to secure his services.

Taking to Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer suggests that Okada is still to decide between the two companies, saying the following:

“He's going to go to whoever makes the best offer,” said Meltzer. “I've heard from people and talked to people who know him very well who have talked to him in the last day or two, and he has not decided. It's not like a secret, he just hasn't decided yet.”

Meltzer continued: “I know people in AEW who think they've got him. I know people in AEW who hope they've got him but don't think they've got him. I know people in WWE who hope they're going to get him.”

Reports suggest that AEW are the early favourites to sign Okada as their schedule would allow him to remain in Japan, although Okada himself reportedly wants to work a WrestleMania event at some point in his career:

“AEW is probably the favourite, in that sense, but anyone who says it's a done deal, it's not a done deal but I do know that there are people in AEW who are thinking they got him,” said Meltzer.
