A WWE Hall of Famer is open to coming back to the company at the upcoming Extreme Rules pay-per-view on October 8.

Matt Riddle and Seth Rollins will continue their feud at Extreme Rules in a Fight Pit. No special guest referee has been announced for the match but after a fan suggested on Twitter that Ken Shamrock would be a suitable offical, The World's Most Dangerous Man admitted he was open to a WWE return on October 8, replying: "Couldn't agree more!"

Shamrock was a popular star during the Attitude era, competing in WWE from 1997 until late 1999. He is a former King of the Ring winner, Intercontinental Champion, and WWE Tag Team Champion with Big Boss Man.

Shamrock does have history as a special guest referee, having been the official for the classic WrestleMania 13 match between Bret Hart and 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin.

The IMPACT Hall of Famer has mostly been away from pro wrestling since early 2021 but he returned to the ring in August 2022, defeating Davey Boy Smith Jr.
