Kenny Omega: Being a Multi-Promotion Champion Is "A Blessing And A Curse"

The grind never stops for The Best Bout Machine

Kenny Omega has certainly been active in recent months and The Best Bout Machine is the reigning AEW World Champion, IMPACT World Champion and AAA Mega Champion.

Possessing all the belts has resulted in a busy schedule for Omega and he admitted on Wrestling With The Week that being The Belt Collector has its drawbacks.

"It's a blessing and a curse. As champion, you get some high-quality matches and you're the focal point of the shows, but at the same time, there is a schedule that is required and a demand for your body and health and psychological health. There is a demand that goes into being a champion," Omega said.

"It's cool to look at pictures and be like, 'wow, look at all these belts,' but then I think, 'Man, I have to defend these and make time to defend these. I have to be that guy for the company and you just count the days and weeks that you're available to do it. It's requiring a lot of multi-tasking. I'm hanging on and I can do it right now, so I'm going to do it."

The grind never stops for The Cleaner, though, and he has two high-profile title defences booked over the next month. He will defend the AEW World Championship against PAC and Orange Cassidy at Double Or Nothing before he defends the IMPACT World Title against Moose on June 12 at Against All Odds. Omega is also scheduled to face Andrade for the AAA Mega Championship at TripleMania in August.
