Kenny Omega: Having Bryan Danielson & Adam Cole In AEW Is Like A High School Reunion

Getting friends back together

All Elite Wrestling have worked to add star power to the roster in recent months and both Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole made their AEW debuts on September 5 at All Out.

Cole has since reunited with The Elite, while Bryan Danielson immediately started feuding with Kenny Omega. The two men will go one on one at Dynamite: Grand Slam on September 22.

Speaking ahead of the match to Adam's Apple, Omega compared Cole and Danielson joining AEW to a high school reunion.

"For a lot of fans, they're known as WWE guys, perhaps, but for me, they are my friends that I've seen and grew up with and done indies with and toured with so it's like a high school reunion of sorts. It's great to work with these guys after four, five, ten years. It's great to be back with old friends and making new magic because we've all changed and all grown and all evolved," Omega said.

Omega worked with both men previously on the independent wrestling scene. Cole and Omega performed together for years and the three-time ROH World Champion was a member of Bullet Club while Omega was the leader of the NJPW faction.

The Best Bout Machine also had a famous match with Bryan Danielson in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla in 2009 which featured a John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt routine.
