Kenny Omega Reportedly Turns Down WWE - Expected To Sign With All Elite Wrestling

The Best Bout Machine announced he is taking a break from NJPW earlier this week...

Last Friday we saw Kenny Omega lose his IWGP Heavyweight Championship in the main event of Wrestle Kingdom 13 to Hiroshi Tanahashi. That defeat was then followed up by the announcement from The Best Bout Machine himself that he would be taking a break from all things New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Naturally, the internet whipped itself up into a frenzy wondering if Kenny's time in the promotion was done indefinitely - and where he could be heading next.

Well, according to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Omega will be heading to join his friends in The Elite in All Elite Wrestling.

For the avoidance of any doubt, here's what Dave penned in the latest WON: "While nothing is signed and can’t be until 2/1, when his New Japan contract expires, he is expected to be with AEW as the word was that he had already turned down the WWE offer."

Dave also wrote in this week's Observer that there is one more Executive Vice President expected to be added to All Elite Wrestling to work alongside Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks - could that spot be for Kenny Omega? Only time will tell...
