Kenny Omega Stopped From Seeing The Young Bucks' Actions At AEW Full Gear 2021
Young Bucks continue to hide footage of AEW Full Gear from Kenny Omega
May 16, 2023
Kenny Omega is still none the wiser about how he came to lose the AEW World Championship at Full Gear 2021.
The Best Bout Machine put the gold on the line against Hangman Page at the November 2021 pay-per-view and after Hangman had withstood pretty much all of Omega's offence except for the One-Winged Angel, Page set up for the Buckshot Lariat. The Young Bucks initially looked set to stop their former friend from decking Omega but Matt Jackson instead gave Hangman a nod of approval, signifying it was his time at the top. Page then decked Omega with a Buckshot Lariat to capture the top title in All Elite Wrestling.
Omega noted on the post-Full Gear episode of Dynamite that he hadn't watched the match back, meaning he was unaware of The Young Bucks' actions. Over 18 months on and Omega still has no idea, although the Dark Order tried to show The Cleaner the footage from Full Gear on this week's edition of Being The Elite.
Before Alex Reynolds could play the footage, though, Matt Jackson appeared from out of nowhere, grabbed the phone and threw it off the floor, breaking it in the process. Jackson then showed Omega an inappropriate video of his wife before Matt destroyed the phone some more throughout the remainder of Being the Elite.
