Kenny Omega Teases The Elite's AEW Blood & Guts Partner Following Rampage Taping
Kenny Omega teased who the fifth member of The Elite’s Blood & Guts team could be after AEW Rampage
The Elite and The Blackpool Combat Club’s war in All Elite Wrestling has been violent, bloody, and deeply personal, with the two sides set to fight in the third ever AEW Blood & Guts match on July 19.
The BCC and associate Konosuke Takeshita are searching for their fifth teammate in the wake of Bryan Danielson’s forearm break at Forbidden Door, whilst The Elite are searching for their own partner due to fragile ally Eddie Kingston competing in the NJPW G1 Climax tournament in Japan.
Following the AEW Rampage taping on July 5, Kenny Omega addressed the crowd, teasing that their partner could be joining them soon:
“Now you guys listen to this. There was a week when my whereabouts were unknown. I didn’t stay home. I didn’t go to Canada. I went to recruit an old friend, somebody who’s very near and dear to my heart. I’ve got no doubt in my mind that as much as he cares about me, he cares about the men in this ring, he cares about this promotion, he cares about changing the face of professional wrestling. Many fans have long assumed that Omega’s Golden Lovers partner Kota Ibushi will be the one to answer the call, and it remains to be seen if Ibushi will indeed become involved.
