KENTA's Pro Wrestling NOAH Return Match Revealed

KENTA's match for his Pro Wrestling NOAH return has been revealed.

It was announced recently that the former GHC Heavyweight Champion would return to NOAH at the promotion's 'The New Year' show on January 1, 2022, from Budokan Hall.

Pro Wrestling NOAH have since announced KENTA will team with Kazushi Sakuraba and Takashi Sugiura against Daiki Inaba, Masa Kitamiya and Yoshiki Inamura. Fans will be able to watch the match on NOAH's Wrestle Universe streaming service.

January 1 will be KENTA's first NOAH match since he faced Naomichi Marufuji at Marufuji's 20th Anniversary Show in 2018, whilst KENTA was under contract with WWE. KENTA previously wrestled for NOAH from 2000 until 2014, establishing himself as one of the company's top stars before he left to sign for WWE.

KENTA would depart WWE in 2019 and sign with New Japan Pro-Wrestling. He is currently a member of Bullet Club and is the reigning IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion.

KENTA's return to Pro Wrestling NOAH will take place only days before the NJPW vs. NOAH Wrestle Kingdom 16 event on January 8.

Several big matches have been set for NOAH's 'The New Year' show, including a GHC Heavyweight Championship match between Katsuhiko Nakajima and Go Shiozaki. Check out the full card for the show below:
