Kevin Nash Would Turn Cody Rhodes Heel Following Undisputed WWE Universal Title Win

Kevin Nash wouldn't keep Cody Rhodes as a babyface after he wins the big one

WWE made a controversial decision for the main event of WrestleMania 39 as the company decided to have Roman Reigns retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Cody Rhodes despite many expecting The American Nightmare to walk away with both belts heading into the event.

The expectation is that Cody will eventually win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in a big babyface moment but Kevin Nash wouldn't leave Rhodes as a babyface for very long, revealing on his Kliq This podcast that he would actually turn Rhodes heel after he wins the big one.

After being asked if he would turn Rhodes heel, Nash replied:

"Yes. I don't mean this as any slight to anybody, but I look at people's pops, and people's pops during the start of my career to this past Sunday. You could take everybody, you could take Hogan, Rock, Shawn, Taker, Bret, Roman, Cody, put them all in a basket, and put them in the ring, and then have Austin's f*****g glass break, and when s**t was in his wheelhouse, and there was nothing as electric and as that f*****g [pop] because he was the real deal. He was every man's champion. That was my boy, man. That was my friend. I would watch that, I'd be so f*****g proud, like f**k yeah."

Nash also doesn't think Cody should dethrone Reigns, and Big Sexy instead thinks the honour should go to an "Austin-type guy."

Ahead of a possible rematch for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, Cody Rhodes looks likely to face Brock Lesnar at Backlash on May 6. Lesnar turned heel on Rhodes during the Raw after WrestleMania 39 last week.
