With WrestleMania 38 set to emanate from his home state, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin has the option to make an appearance at The Showcase Of The Immortals.

After Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins failed to win the Raw Tag Team Championship and a spot on the WrestleMania 38 card with it, KO appeared at the end of Monday's episode of Raw and revealed he had an idea to get him on The Show of Shows - the biggest KO Show in history.

To achieve that, Owens would need a guest from Texas and after he dismissed Shawn Michaels, Booker T and JBL, the former Universal Champion called out Steve Austin, noting Stone Cold had likely let himself go.

If Austin will accept Owens' invitation will be revealed on Tuesday at 5 pm GMT/12 pm ET.

Reports initially noted that Austin appeared set to make an in-ring return at WrestleMania 38 in a match with Owens but it emerged on Friday that The Texas Rattlesnake had yet to commit to returning to the squared circle, with a segment looking more likely.

Austin has made several appearances at WrestleMania since his retirement in 2003, including three times as a special guest referee and once as a guest on Piper's Pit.
