Kevin Owens Reveals There Were Plans For Him To Return To NXT

KO almost returned to his former home...

Finn Balor almost wasn't the only former NXT champion to return to the the brand in recent times. The man he defeated for the NXT title in 2015 almost did as well.

Kevin Owens revealed in an interview with Bleacher Report that there were plans in 2019 for him to return to NXT, but they just never came to fruition.

“Last year at some point, I was going back to NXT. It was all in motion and it was going to happen, and then it didn't," Owens said. "To say that's a thought that crossed my mind would be an understatement, but I would tell you right now that that's not the case anymore. That's just not where I'm at anymore. Now, I want to be on Raw or be on SmackDown and just fight like hell to create some memorable moments for everybody. That's all I want at this point."

Owens is presently a part of the Raw brand, though he did wrestle The Fiend on SmackDown this past Friday night. Owens is also part of the selection pool for the Raw portion of the Draft this Monday.
