Kevin Owens Vs. Sami Zayn Money In The Bank Qualifier Announced For Next Week's WWE SmackDown

With an additional stipulation

A Last Man Standing match will take place on next Friday night's SmackDown, in which the winner will qualify for the men's Money in the Bank ladder match.

It was announced on Friday by WWE that Kevin Owens will face Sami Zayn in said bout. The winner will join Ricochet, John Morrison, Riddle, and Big E in the July 18 ladder match.

Zayn defeated Owens this past Sunday at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. In the match, Owens was selling the effects of a beating inflicted upon him by Commander Azeez two nights earlier on SmackDown.

Owens tweeted after Hell in a Cell that he needed "a little break", but would be back soon. He did not appear on Friday night's SmackDown.

The winner of the Zayn/Owens match will be the second of four men from the SmackDown brand to qualify for Money in the Bank. In addition to the three Raw talents that have already qualified, a "last chance" qualification match will be held this Monday night, and includes AJ Styles, Randy Orton, and Drew McIntyre.
