Konnan: WWE Have Got To Be Worried About AEW

Worried about Tony Khan

Since the company's formation in January 2019, All Elite Wrestling have cemented themselves as the second-biggest professional wrestling promotion in the world. The company boasts stars of the industry like Kenny Omega, CM Punk, Adam Cole, Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley as members of their roster and Dynamite's ratings have continued to improve in recent months, even beating Monday Night Raw in the key 18-49 demographic for two weeks in September.

Speaking about AEW on the Keepin' It 100 Podcast, Konnan noted that WWE have got to be worried about Tony Khan's promotion.

"Here's a company that's only been around for two years and making mistakes because they're experimenting. They still, you know, when I look at a lot of times at Tony, he reminds me of me when I first started booking. He overproduces stuff. He's still learning, bro. It's not easy because not anybody can do it. But, they got to be worried about [this guy] that's only been in the business for two years. He's already on their doorstep pulling a 1.4," Konnan said.

While Konnan is primarily associated with AAA, he has sporadically appeared in AEW as Santana & Ortiz's manager.
