Kurt Angle: I Always Wanted To Work With Dolph Ziggler In WWE

The two had a short match in 2018

Kurt Angle has revealed how he was eager to work with Dolph Ziggler when he returned to WWE.

Angle and Ziggler had a quick match at WWE Crown Jewel in 2018 during the WWE World Cup Tournament, with The Show-Off defeating The Olympic Gold Medallist to progress to the semi-finals of the competition.

Angle, who had returned to WWE in 2017 and retired from in-ring competition in 2019, has now admitted he was keen to step between the ropes with Ziggler during his time back in the promotion.

However, the WWE Hall Of Famer says his dream match was always an outing with Daniel Bryan or Bret Hart.

Speaking to Inside The Ropes, Angle said: "I always wanted to work with Dolph. From the beginning when I came back to WWE, he was on my radar.

"The kid is such a special talent, he can do just about anything and I think that his size really helps him. He's a little bit smaller, so he's able to do a lot more. But I've always loved his work. I've been a big fan of him since he started and I would have loved to have a match with him.

"He wasn't my dream match per se: Daniel Bryan was, or Bret Hart."
