Kurt Angle Reveals AEW Asking Price

Angle quoted Tony Khan a hefty fee in talks about him stepping back into the ring

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has revealed the dollar figure he asked for when approached by Tony Khan about coming out of retirement to wrestle for AEW.

Speaking on a recent edition of his The Kurt Angle Show podcast, the Olympic Hero outlined how much he wanted per match and what the total amount would be for ten matches.

"Well, to even consider coming back, it's going to have to be a substantial amount of money. I do remember, Tony Khan wanted me to come in and wrestle for him. This was like four years ago, and I said, 'For ten matches, I want $3 million," began Angle.

Angle was then interrupted by his wife Giovanna, who said that her husband would never step into the squared circle again.

Angle retired from in-ring competition following his loss to Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35. He is currently signed to WWE on a per-appearance deal.

Though he hasn't ruled out having one more match, Kurt is notoriously banged up from his long and illustrious wrestling career.  As well as his well-documented neck issues, Angle recently claimed to be suffering from memory loss and had double knee replacement surgery in May.
