Lana Thanks WWE Fans Following Release

Lana was one of six WWE superstars released on Wednesday

Lana has taken to social media to thank the WWE fans for 'the love they showed me' following her release from the promotion.

Lana was one of six names confirmed as departing WWE on Wednesday 2 June, joining Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Ruby Riott, Buddy Murphy and Santana Garrett in being let go by the company.

The 'Ravishing Russian', who had been with WWE since 2013 and wrestled this past week on Monday Night Raw in a tag-team match alongside Naomi against Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose, has now commented on her departure from the promotion.

Her message made reference to multiple angles and storylines she was involved in during her time in WWE, saying she simply wanted to entertain the WWE Universe.

Writing on Twitter, Lana said: "I will never forget the fans, and the love they showed me. Whether it was a tank, power-suits, flags, CRUSH, Rusev, 900 partners, weddings or tables: I tried to always entertain you, and you definitely elevated me. Thank you."
