An update on the criminal investigation into WWE Hall Of Famer Tammy 'Sunny' Sytch has been provided by the Ormond Beach Police Department.
Following an inquiry from PWInsider, police stated: "We have received part of the toxicology report. If charges are filed they will not be until the investigation is completed. We will update the press release once a decision is reached."
Sytch was involved in a car accident on March 25 in Volusia County, Florida which resulted in the death of 75-year-old Julian L. Lasseter.
Police documents noted Sytch crashed into the rear of another car that was stopped at traffic lights and that automobile then crashed into the car in front. Lasseter was in the middle car and passed away as a result of his injuries.
Police believe Sytch was driving under the influence but they are still waiting for the full toxicology report, as noted.
Since the incident, Sytch has denied responsibility for the crash, claiming Lasseter suffered a heart attack and that she had a seizure. She also claimed she was only driving 10mph.
Sytch and boyfriend James F. Pente have since been sued by Lasseter's estate. They are seeking in excess of $100,000.
