Legend Of Zelda Referenced On WWE Raw
Cody Rhodes has no master sword

The Legend of Zelda was surprisingly referenced on the March 13 edition of Monday Night Raw.
Cody Rhodes was in action on the red brand as the build to WrestleMania 39 continued and The American Nightmare scored a victory over LA Knight. Cody then cut a heartfelt promo following the contest in which he noted that he grew up thinking he was a prince of pro wrestling but he doesn't have a crown, a chip, a master sword, or the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Rhodes then promised to defeat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39 and become the first member of the Rhodes family to proclaim themselves as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
The master sword is ultimately a reference to the legendary sword from Nintendo's Legend of Zelda series that was created to defeat evil. It is wielded by Link in many of the titles, including in Breath of the Wild.
Cody Rhodes is a self-confessed fan of Legend of Zelda and he noted back in 2018 that he thought Ocarina of Time was better than Breath of the Wild.
"Ocarina of time. It changed everything. It's the Big Bang of the industry and the title. I appreciate objective nerd grading that we all do, but there's only one messiah...and it was OOT. That journey shaped some of us. I didn't need books growing up, because I had games like it," Rhodes tweeted.
Now Rhodes will look to channel the spirit of Link and defeat Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title at WrestleMania 39. The show will emanate from LA's SoFi Stadium on April 1 and April 2.
