Lio Rush Appears At NJPW Capital Collision

Rush has been sidelined with injury since January

After a few months away from the ring, Lio Rush made an appearance Saturday night at NJPW Capital Collision in Washington, DC.

Just before the card's semi main event, Rush appeared, and came to the ring for a promo. While noting in his remarks that he hasn't been cleared for an in-ring return yet, Rush floated names like Robbie Eagles, Taiji Ishimori, and Hiromu Takahashi as potential opponents for when he does wrestle again.

Following the promo, Rush did commentary for Capital Collision's final matches.

Rush has wrestled on NJPW Strong on numerous occasions since the end of 2020. He also competed in the 2020 Super J-Cup, losing to El Phantasmo in the first round.

In addition to NJPW, Rush has competed for a number of promotions since getting released from WWE in April of 2020, including AEW, Game Changer Wrestling, and MLW, among others.

Rush has not wrestled since dislocating his shoulder during night two of PWG's Battle of Los Angeles in January. Shortly after sustaining the injury, Rush's short-term contract with AEW expired.
