Lio Rush Debuts At AEW Double Or Nothing

As part of the Casino Battle Royal

Former WWE Cruiserweight champion Lio Rush made his debut for All Elite Wrestling at Sunday night's Double or Nothing pay-per-view in Jacksonville.

Rush made his debut appearance as the "Joker" in the 21-man Casino Battle Royal. He entered the match at a stage when five other men remained - Christian Cage, Matt Hardy, Private Party, and Jungle Boy.

Rush got in offense on Hardy and Private Party, but was eliminated by Hardy.

It's unknown if this was just a one-time appearance, or if Rush will appear for AEW more often.

Rush has wrestled for promotions such as Major League Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling as of late. He recently reigned as both AAA World Cruiserweight champion and MLW World Middleweight champion. Rush also competed in the 2020 New Japan Pro Wrestling Super J Cup, losing to El Phantasmo in the quarterfinal round.

Rush was released from WWE as part of the Black Wednesday cuts in April of 2020. He previously gained his most notoriety withn the company as the manager/hype-man of Bobby Lashley in 2018-19.
