A major star returned to close out Wednesday's AEW Rampage taping in St. Louis, Missouri.

The main event of Rampage saw Darby Allin go one-on-one with Bobby Fish but after Darby's victory, the reDRagon member attacked the former TNT Champion. Kyle O'Reilly then charged through the crowd with a steel chair but he was suddenly taken out by a returning Sting.

Sting's intervention ultimately allowed Darby to fight back and he ended the confrontation on top by hitting a Coffin Drop on Fish's leg while it was trapped in a steel chair.

Sting had been off AEW TV since the May 18 episode of Dynamite when The Icon was attacked by The Undisputed Elite after Adam Cole and Jeff Hardy's match. Kyle O'Reilly ended that beatdown by Pillmanising Sting's leg with a chair.
