Mark Briscoe Officially Joins AEW

Mark Briscoe is officially ‘All Elite’ in AEW

Despite being signed for several months, Ring of Honor World Tag Team Champion Mark Briscoe has officially become ‘All Elite’, with the ROH Hall of Famer given the social media treatment on February 15.

Briscoe was in action on this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite, defeating Josh Woods in singles action, with ROH/AEW President Tony Khan announcing Briscoe’s employment status on Twitter:

“Mark Briscoe earned his second win on TBS on #AEWDynamite tonight, and now it's official: Mark Briscoe is All Elite! Congratulations @SussexCoChicken!”

Khan later followed up, confirming that Briscoe will remain part of Ring of Honor, as well as wrestling for AEW:

“Mark Briscoe will continue with us in AEW + remains in ROH, it was great having him on #AEWDynamite tonight, and I'm excited for Mark to participate in the debut of the new @ringofhonor TV! Tapings: @UniversalORL Feb 25-26 Tix on sale tomorrow, + New ROH tv debuts 3/2 on ROH app!”

Briscoe has been part of the company since 2022, with himself and brother Jay Briscoe signed to Ring of Honor, whilst not allowed to feature on AEW TV due to concerns from Warner Bros. Discovery about The Briscoes’ gimmicks, and past remarks from Jay Briscoe on social media.

After Jay Briscoe’s death in January, Tony Khan lobbied for Mark to be allowed to wrestle on AEW TV, and the ‘Sussex County Chicken’ has featured regularly on AEW TV since, headlining the January 25 edition of Dynamite with a victory over Jay Lethal.
